View Laughlin – Joshua Tree – Los Angeles in a larger map

We started at 8:30 am again and drove for about 2.5h. Then we made a restroom at Roy’s Motel Cafe but it was closed for cleaning. Eventually the store and the restroom were opened and we got some coffee and snacks. From Roy’s it was another hour to Subway in Twentynine Palm where we picked up turkey sandwiches for our picnic in Joshua Tree National Park were we went to next. After a quick walk through the Cholla Cactus Garden it was finally time for lunch.

After lunch we tried to find at least one rattlesnake in Hidden Valley but we didn’t get lucky. I guess it was too late in the day. After Joshua Tree National Park we continued towards Los Angeles, passing by a huge wind farm close to Palm Springs. Eventually we made it to L.A. in the late afternoon. Before we went to the hotel, we stopped in downtown to look at El Pueblo, Union Station and the Disney Concert Hall.
